This is our third visit here. The others were more “in season”. The service has always been very good, the staff friendly and accommodating without being intrusive. The view of the bay is great and the area is mostly wooded around the grounds which are quite beautiful. The feeling one gets when one drives onto the grounds is that of getting away from the hustle and bustle of the area, even though the “action” is only a couple blocks away.The standard amenities are present including free wi-fi in the rooms and ccomputer/ printer in the lobby. The rooms we have stayed in have in-room DVD players and a small refrigerator as well as cable TV. The price is consistent with other places in the ar’a although we haven’t found another place where the view is as good. The main charm of the Country House lies in its peaceful, tranquil surroundings where you can go for walks, enjoy the view, or just relax by the pool. We had a wonderful stay at the Country House. The rooms were nicely updated & we had a beautiful view. Very nice continental breakfast each morning. Cathy & Jim were so nice & very accomidating. What a great place!! The room was clean and smelled great-thank you so much for being a non-smoking facility, as opposed to some places where the rooms always smell like a pool hall. The heater worked great, the gray notebook on the table had a ton of useful information in it, and the cleaning staff was very helpful when we needed them. The room price was very reasonable, and all of the front-desk people were very friendly. The breakfast selection was terrific-instead of just throwing out the bare minimum every morning, there is REAL food, and lots of choices. And the location is absolutely perfect-it’s beautiful, just far enough off of the highway to be “isolated” and quiet, but just a short trip to wherever you want to get to. 2 big “thumbs-up” from us!!
