As a family owned and operated property, the Country House culture is naturally friendly, casual and considerate. Most positions are in front desk and housekeeping. Experience is helpful but not necessary. Flexible days and hours allow for time to enjoy all that Door County has to offer.

In 2008 we will be looking for two additional seasonal employees, a Groundskeeper and a Breakfast Hostess. Housing is available. Our Breakfast is a value added guest service and an integral part of the amenity package we offer and is served 7 - 10 AM. Our breakfast hostess is responsible for all aspects of set up, maintenance and take down of the breakfast as well as rotation of stock and supplies needed to perform the duties in a timely and organized fashion. Daily attitude, performance and appearance are critical to the success of the Country House. The breakfast hostess becomes the first daily contact with our guests and therefore must be welcoming, polite, professional and knowledgeable.

Another value added guest service is our beautiful gardens. The groundskeeper is responsible for all tasks associated with the daily, weekly or annual upkeep of the grounds and gardens. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: planting, watering, weeding, general maintenance of the various flower beds and landscaped areas, daily sweeping and blowing of sidewalks and parking lots and seasonal trimming of bushes and trees, cutting and chipping brush and removal of yard waste. Guests are always curious about the various flowers and plants and may ask the groundskeeper questions. A willingness to answer their questions is encouraged. All of our staff are sales people for the resort.

Employee privileges include use of resort facilities and amenities including pool, whirlpool, tennis court, dock and sun deck. Wages are excellent, beginning at $8.00 or higher, depending on responsibilities and experience, and an end of season bonus is available

The primary resort season is May through October. Resort provided housing and positions for June through August are extremely limited; applicants must be available to work June through October.
